Privacy and cookies

The short version

We measure which posts, ads and searches bring guests to this site and which of them lead to bookings. We do that with Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, loaded through Google Tag Manager. We never send your name, email, phone number, payment details or messages to Google or Meta. You can turn the measurement off at any time.

What we measure

• Pages you view, how you arrived (for example an Instagram link or a Google search), and basic device and browser information.
• Booking steps: the dates and number of guests you price, whether the dates were open, the quoted total, and when you go to checkout.
• When a reservation request comes in and when Christi accepts it, the reservation code, the stay value, taxes and currency are reported to Google Analytics and, if you allowed advertising cookies, to Meta. Cancellations are reported as refunds.
• Whether you used the chat or sent a message, but not what you wrote.

Who receives it

• Google (Analytics, Tag Manager): visit and booking-step measurement. IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram): page views, cabin views, checkout starts and accepted bookings, so we can see which posts and ads work. For accepted bookings our server sends Meta the reservation code, value, the Meta browser cookie, your IP address and browser type, and nothing that names you. Only if advertising cookies are allowed.
• Hospitable: our booking and checkout provider. Checkout happens on booking.hospitable.com, which runs the same measurement. Your guest details and payment go to Hospitable and its payment processor, not to this website.
• Netlify hosts this site and delivers contact-form messages to Christi by email.
• Anthropic runs the "Ask about the cabin" chat. Questions you type are sent to Anthropic to answer them. Don't type personal or payment details there.

Your choices

• Use Privacy choices at the bottom of any page to accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies. Rejecting doesn't affect booking.
• If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising cookies and of sharing with Meta.
• Visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland see no analytics or advertising cookies until they accept.
• Checkout on booking.hospitable.com follows the choice you made here when you click through from this site.
